    Hilton Resort and Casino

We are trying to add a week at the Hilton next year before our two weeks at Surf Club. I remember reading a post a few years ago that was an excellent review of the Hilton, but I can't find it now. Can anyone who has stayed there lately give me some tips about the rooms and towers? Are any better than others? Any to avoid? How about the palapa situation? Our only experience with the Hilton has been walking the property and eating/drinking at Gilligan's. Thanks!

We stayed at the Hilton when it was still the Radisson so it’s been awhile. I believe the towers are all still named the same. Our stay was in the Aruba tower. Loved the room. It was large and comfortable. There was a nice balcony with beautiful ocean views. Also liked that the beach didn’t seem as crowded as some of the other hotels in Palm Beach. We didn’t care for Gilligans but now that it’s a Hilton I have heard good things. We used to walk over to Salt and Pepper for breakfast. The only issue we had was the people in the next room kept us awake with their arguing all night. That said, I would stay there again.

We have stayed there many times through the years. The towers are the same as Peg mentioned. We prefer the Aruba tower as it has the best views, its considerably larger, and has a bigger balcony as well. Gilligans has really gone downhill IMO. We use to love it, the service food etc. We dined there twice since the switch and won't dine there again. The Curacao tower was okay but the room was very small and I would probably pass on that unless it was a great deal.
Just Booked trip 36- Trip report starting in June.

So long since we stayed at the old Radisson, but we stayed there 8 times. We never had a room we didn't like, but a couple of issues with view with partial ocean view. The garden view from the B and C towers were actually quite nice for us since room time was limited. We continue to go to the Sunset Grille each year and love the grounds and the lobby if that helps. Hope you get some updated input from someone.

We stayed when it was Radisson. One thing I found in reviews is that the Aruba tower is louder, thinner walls. We did find in our Aruba tower room we could hear our neighbors, but I can’t compare to the other towers. The property is lovely. Cpjones gave me the best palapa advice, try to be on the side farthest from Bugaloe and it tends to be a little less busy. They have a great system if you don’t mind paying. You can reserve online once you have your room confirmation number. I don’t think it’s worth it to pay for front row, but second or third is great. There is a free system too but I am not familiar. The pool cabanas are nice too. We did those one day when we had friends with us. We avoid Gilligan for food, nothing special and pricey for what you get.

just a note, that palapa info is from Hilton 2020 when we were considering staying a few nights there.

The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

We are considering garden view because we aren't in the room that long and good pricing. Plus, if the pics on the website are any indication you really get to enjoy the lush landscaping. Do the garden rooms face any public areas? We would want to avoid those rooms.

I stayed there in 2019. I was in the Curacao tower (next to Riu) with a room facing inward “partial ocean view.” The tower was pretty quiet and the view was okay. The palapa system was that you could pay to reserve in advance or log into their app at EXACTLY 4 pm to reserve a free palapa for the next day. The free palapas were the last two rows. You also had the option to go to the towel hut at 4 pm but you’re better off using the app because they go
quickly. So the downside was that you had to make sure you had access to fast internet at 4. I’d go back to the room and do it via wifi.

Overall, the grounds are beautiful. Pool usually has lots of kids. I walked through when I was on the island last week.

Never faced public areas when we were there.... did overlook some walkways...... but that was great for people watching. Quiet and relaxing area!

Thanks Chuck. I think we're going to look into a garden view room in B or C tower.
