They were supposed to develop there a few years ago, but I think it got pushed back. Not sure if it's even the same developers as before.

We got here today and something is going on. I am hoping that they are just cleaning up the lot. We will talk to the property manager to see what he knows. It might be a few days until we get to see him.
In Dec a friend who works in the area, told me that it is to be condos.

I spoke to one of the long term workers here. He said that the lot is supposed to be 650 rooms hotel/condo. I really need to talk with the property manager to get more details.

I remember when LaCabana and the LaCabana Villas (now the Eagle Resort) were sort of considered one resort because they were part of the same group at the time. One resort sits directly behind the other one. The total number of room combined was 811. They are two different resorts now but there are still 811 rooms sharing the same beach area.

The new Embassy Suites will also have a lot of rooms. Wonder if they’ll venture to Eagle or Palm Beach?

Yep, there is very little beach there. However, not a lot has been done on it since we left in March.
