Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino questions

Does anyone know when the Tropicana became the Eagle Aruba Resort & Casino? As much detail as you can, please. Even to the day, if possible. Somehow, I neglected to record it on my spreadsheet.

    Thank you!

Thanks, Andrea. My experience is that the hotels often do not know or can't be bothered when you ask them about their history, but I will try. I know they were open by May 2019, and possibly after February 2019. Late 2018 is certainly possible.

The only contact information I could find is for reservations. Typical for Aruba resort websites.

Aruba Tropicana was the only resort not sold with the rest of the resorts. It was probably about Oct. , 2018 that the name changed and they were no longer part of that chain. Here is info from wikipedia

In April 2018, the company agreed to be acquired for $1.85 billion by Eldorado Resorts and Gaming and Leisure Properties (GLP). GLP would pay $1.21 billion to buy the land and buildings of Tropicana's casinos, while Eldorado would acquire Tropicana Entertainment for $640 million, and lease the casinos from GLP.[14][15] The parties later modified the deal so that the real estate of Lumière Place would be sold to Eldorado instead of to GLP.[16] The sale was completed on October 1, 2018.[17] The Tropicana Aruba was excluded from the deal and was separately sold to Icahn Enterprises.[1

Great research. It appears, though, that the property still wasn't sold in January 2019, even though its sale was supposed to be part of the main Tropicana asset sale. See:

I wonder how far along they are in the huge renovation project?
It seems like it has been forever...the project started long before it was the Eagle Beach Resort.

    I wonder too...

when I stayed there last May, I was in the completed side/phase that faces LG smith blvd. The side where the lobby is was closed and under reno. Not sure about the middle/side building? I will say the renovations were beautifully done and the units are very comfortable. In July, the whole parking lot facing la cabana was a working mess.
