On Saturday hubby and I head out in the '63 Lincoln Continental for a cross country road trip that should last about 5 weeks. You never can tell with a car that old. We will be doing Rt. 66-mostly staying on the highways and getting off for historic buildings, areas, etc. We did part of it in 2018, so we will be staying on the highway for those sections. Stu likes taking pictures of the car with oddities, such as the biggest rocking chair and he likes nature shots, such as lakes, rock formations, etc. and historic buildings and we have a long list of those. The LCOC(Lincoln Continental Owners Club) western meet is Wednesday, May 4th-Sunday, May 8(Mother's Day)-they lots of great events planned. We are staying an extra night and heading to LA later on Monday and meeting up with his cousin. We have until Wednesday to get to San Diego where his national conference (work) is being held, so we figure we will meander down the coast. We do not plan on staying for the whole thing because the keynote speakers and entertainment are not great this time around. From there we will head to Zion National Park, via Las Vegas. Then on to Bryce Canyon, Yellowstone(finish what we didn't do in 2018 due to car issues) and the Mt. Rushmore area(finish we didn't do in 2018 due to car issues) and finally make our way home. Stu does all the driving and crochet lap blankets for the veterans' home here in town(and one for a baby due in June). I'll post updates every few days and I am going to do a site for pictures.
