    Anyone book a cruise yet?

We had to book a cruise or will lose our money.
    So booked another cruise for Super Bowl Sunday;
Carnival gave us $600.00 OBC for not canceling; $200.00 players club plus free drinks in the casino
and carnival stock $100.00 total of $900.00 not to shabby
Son will get $600.00 plus $100.00

8 nights to St Marteen St Kitts, San Juan and Grand Turks
not Aruba but it's a vacation

    yay!!
it will be a nice trip

we had a few booked, all cancelled due to the Pandemic.
we had one scheduled on HAL for early July, I know it is cancelled, but we have not been notified yet.
we are going to take the refund when they do cancel and not roll it over.

we still have our Panama Canal cruise on the calendar/scheduled.
    it is for late January.
this is Paul's bucket list cruise and we hope it does not get cancelled.
we have a good chunk of onboard credit and drinks in casino too.
we are not big drinkers so having a couple in the casino at night is just perfect.
our "sin of choice" on the cruises are ice cream sodas from the coffee/cake/ice cream bar, usually located near the casino.

Our Viking Danube Riverboat cruise from last year summer(2020) was rescheduled for this summer. We cancelled and rescheduled for next summer back in March, then Viking cancelled all cruises through the end of July.

Currently we have Bordeaux Viking Riverboat cruise scheduled for October(booked in 2019). I have no idea if we (group) will be able to go or not. France is still in lockdown.

We have a Ft. Lauderdale to LA Panama Canal cruise scheduled for Dec. 24-Jan. 10(2021/2022). Again, I have no idea what will happen. Right now nothing is going out of the US and I don't think things are very good in South America.

We didn't have one booked when covid hit. We were trying to decide between the Mediterranean and a Panama Canal cruise right before everything shut down. I'm not ready to cruise again any time soon. I think it's going to be a while before we set foot on another ship.

I don’t mean to dissuade anyone from taking cruises, but we will never book a cruise again. Friends of ours were on a South American cruise when Covid broke out in March of 2020. Despite there not being any Covid cases on the ship They were not allowed to dock at any port (somehow were able to get food and fuel) and were literally confined to their cabins for almost an additional 4 weeks until finally able to return to Florida (they are residents there). A complete nightmare. Just the thought of being stuck at sea if another pandemic were to strike makes us never to want to be in that situation.

    best of luck all.

We aren't big cruisers but did have one canceled with our family for June. I won't be booking any until they are successfully sailing without horror stories like the one above for 6 months to a year.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

We have a cruise scheduled for Sept.2022. This was originally scheduled for last fall, rescheduled for this fall and rescheduled again. We leave Boston and end up in Montreal (assuming Canada is open by then). We are looking forward to a fall color tour. Our cruise is booked with Holland America.

I forgot the one we booked in 2018 for March 2021. It is now October of 2022 to Antarctica.

the CDC is planning on making some recommendations that may allow for cruises to be allowed from USA homeports.
    fingers and toes crossed.
my husband loves cruises..........me, not as much.
I do love getting away and if it is a cruise, so be it.
