    ATA Recognition

Hopefully someone will answer this..... 2019 was our tenth consecutive year visiting Aruba (missed 2009) and we neglected to ask about the 10 year recognition from the ATA. We did miss 2020 cuz of Covid too. Would it be appropriate for us to be recognized for 10 consecutive years at this point...? And if so..... how do we arrange it? Thanks!

CP...........just tell the Manchebo concierge and tell them that you 2 would like to be recognized.
He or she will have you fill out the form and get it to the ATA... and the ATA representative will be in touch with you, probably via the Manchebo concierge or their representative.
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind?

I hope this is not offensive to anyone, but may I ask the appeal if getting the ATA certificate? Is it the certificate, the picture in the paper, or something else? Do people frame them and hang them? I feel like for us it would be scheduled time away from the beach and the certificate would end up in a filing cabinet or a box that I put things in and tell myself I will add to a scrapbook but never actually do.

The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

That is how we felt Tracey. We have been to Aruba over 40+ times and have never asked for recognition. LOL To each their own I guess. I rather stay on the beach vs. changing clothes, going to lobby for a photo, getting a small gift, etc.

Ours are framed and hanging in our 3rd bedroom.
I cannot answer for anyone else, but it made Paul happy to receive it.

I think it is nice that Aruba (and the ATA) is appreciative of our visits and loyalty.

I do not remember the first certificate presentation very well, but the 2nd one we were on the beach and did whine a bit having to leave the beach for the presentation.

I cannot imagine anyone will be offended by your question Tracey.

Everyone has their own opinion of the certificate and what is right for me or for you is not what others would choose.

Guess it's kinda a merit badge thing...! Trust me..... I wouldn't do it if it was a whole chunk of day off the beach!
