Being Old

My husband thinks he is younger than he really is. About a month before any vacation I have to remind him not to be a dare devil. We have a closet full of snowboarding gear, skateboards, and all kinds of stuff that never gets used but we can't get rid of just in case.

Up to 3 months ago, I rode horses....quite regularly.
I had a fall right before Christmas and said that was it.
Enough is enough.
I have had 4 injuries from falls in the last 10 years, all minor.
I am at the age now where a normal fall off a horse could incapacitate or kill me.

Now I am looking into taking buggy/driving lessons.

There is a fine line between living your life enjoying your hobbies and making the choice to take precautions. Im glad you were not hurt in your falls!

We aren't old. We've just entered middle age. Unfortunately, it seems my body is starting to disagree with that!
