    Binoculars

I am looking to buy good binoculars. Any suggestions? I think I want compact ones.

    Thanks!

We purchased compact binoculars 20+ years ago and still use them. The size makes them perfect for travel and you would be surprised how often we pull them out on vacation. Our’s are Minolta, but I don’t even know if they make them anymore.

We also have Minolta. They are pretty old, but still work perfectly.

I have a 25 year old Swarovski that is amazing. I have used it on cruises but do not bring it to Aruba because it weighs 4 or 5 pounds

Frankly Robin, I think any reputable brand should give you what you're looking for (no pun intended)! With the huge advances is optics over the past couple of decades any good manufacturer can produce a quality pair for you.

Thanks everyone! I have an old Nikon, but want something clearer. And for some reason they have become sticky(the rubbery part)-they are not dirty and it is peeling. Stu just bought a huge telephoto lens for the trip in October and I thought that Hurtigruten had binoculars in the room like Viking does, but I read this week you have to bring them.
