Canadians finding a way to escape winter

Good afternoon everyone,

Winter is on its way (In Winnipeg it is already here) and some Canadians are finding a way to escape the winter, in spite of the Canada-US border being closed.

As I have said before, the land crossings are closed, but only to people. So, Canadians are shipping their cars, fully packed, to the closest American city, then flying there, picking up their car and they are on their way.

So Andrea, you might see some Canadians at your country club after all. You'll know, once the Ontario license plates start showing up.

we have a bunch of homeowners here who are residents of Canada.
that is EXACTLY what a few are doing.
they packing their cars, saying bye bye to the cars on a transport truck and then flying in to the USA city to where the car is awaiting.

my friends and neighbors from Sault St Marie won't be here til Jan 10 and then it will be to put their house on the market.
currently there are about 8 houses in our community for sale.
all owned by Canadians who are just done.

the home owners from the Yukon Territories arrived a few days ago by air.
they keep a car here.

Yes, we've had snow on the ground for a couple of weeks.
