Sadly, I think we'll all be seeing closures of favorite businesses and hangouts during the next few months. Nothing of note in my area - yet.

True! It’s such a mix of emotions these past few days; hope and happiness about the vaccine reports, then sadness for friends who are struggling. Even feel guilty that we have been fortunate. Since we are retired, our monthly checks come in on time so no financial issues. We have even saved money as we have not been traveling. Then, of course, the upcoming holidays and being unable to hang out with family. Just have to take it day by day
A bar/restaurant near the school I taught at closed a few months ago. It had good, inexpensive bar food, however, they did not have their menu online. We wanted to order from them several times, but had no access to a menu.
However; a popular diner in the next city over opened a new restaurant/diner earlier this month a few minutes from us. We did a take out order last weekend and the food was hot and very good. I hope they can stay in business. It would be great to have more dining options on this side of town.

Just this morning, I went to dunkin and there in the car behind me was one of the positives.
He was out getting coffee too.
I got home and found this email blast from our community manager
People are just selfish and stupid.
There is a concern in our community with regards to the Covid Pandemic. We are aware of several residents that have tested positive or have Covid Symptoms.
The Board of Directors has made a decision to close the Clubhouse to all activities and it will be locked at all times. No activities will be allowed in the Clubhouse, and no Clubhouse Amenities will be allowed to be used within the Clubhouse, which includes the kitchen, exercise room, conference room, game room, pool showers, and the library.
The Office is permanently closed to all residents and will not be accepting any appointments or meeting with any residents. If you need anything from the Office, please contact the Office to determine what your needs are and how the Office can accommodate your needs.
Donna Wilson, the President of the Women’s Golf Association, has made a decision to stop organized play on Tuesday and Saturday until further notice.
Paul Forbes, the President of the Men’s Golf Association has made a decision to stop organized play on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday until further notice.
Scott Schoonover has made the decision to stop organized play on Thursday until further notice.
At this time, the outdoor amenities will remain open, with the understanding that anyone that uses them is doing so at their own discretion and with the understanding the Board of Directors does not condone the use of any amenity.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any Board Member, or our CAM, Shannon Berry.
The selfish and ignorant are why the virus is out of control. Your board did what was necessary to protect everyone even though it stinks for those doing the right thing. I am glad you and Paul were not exposed, and hopefully no one else will get sick.
Wow Andrea, sorry to hear about the irresponsible people but so happy you were not exposed. I am glad to see your community taking a stance.
This is crazy.... people just not caring about others. Glad you and Paul are ok.... and stay in 'different circles' from those idiots.
Glad you guys are okay
Went to an interview the other day; an employee traveled on a plane
Didn't quarantined herself nor answer yes on the screening form
Now she had infected several of those resident as well as employees.
Hear co-workers saying how they are still going to 'celebrate" Thanksgiving with large family.... not going to let
covid or anything else spoil their holiday.
