Some positive news from our primary provider regarding the vaccination process. Up until now we hadn’t heard anything about how people would be identified/notified when it was their turn. Our provider emailed us today. They have the vaccine but are only authorized to vaccinate their providers and employees. Once authorized to vaccinate patients they will distribute according to priorities. I had envisioned people waiting in long lines at CVS so this was good news, even if it will still be awhile.
One of our neighbor/friend does airport runs for extra $.
We used to do them, but it began to wear on us and often times some of the people that we'd be transporting would refuse to pay or not shut up for the 55 minutes it took to get to the airport. It truly became a nuisance and Paul and I are NOT morning people.
So our buddy Bill took our customers and blended into his airport/cruise port driving business.
This morning Bill picked up a gentleman at Orlando...Bill had his mask on and had to request the passenger put his mask on.
This particular passenger came in to visit his mother who lives here (and as a side note is in home hospice care). When Bill dropped the guy off at his mother's house 2 blocks from us, and the guy gave Bill the $ for the ride..............he added a side comment. Glad you had a mask as I am positive, but Asymptomatic.
Now Bill has to stay home for the next 10 days or so, find someone to cover a bunch of airport runs over the next week, and go for a covid test or 2 next week.
Oh yes...this guy (the positive guy) came in on a plane from Minnesota.
What the heck is wrong with people?
What totally rude disrespectful people.. he ought to make that passenger pay for his loss
and testing.. (I can't use the exact words .. not allowed and not lady like)
