it is bad enough that she is ill, but not being able to sit and hold her hand is terrible.

She has been tested for covid 19 and is in isolation. I have no idea when we will get the results back. I really doubt that she has it because she's been dealing with some respiratory issues since before the virus hit our area, but she is very sick. The hardest part is that I can't be there and she has to go through this alone. She's almost 93.

Hatteras I am so sorry that you and your mom are going through this. It’s heart wrenching to think that we can’t be there for elderly family members. While we understand why, it certainly isn’t easy the anxiety for anyone. Saying many prayers for you all.

So sorry about your Mom..... and feel your frustration at not being able to sit with her. Good luck.

Someone Stu and I sent to high school with passed away two days ago due to a fast spreading cancer. There is no viewing, no funeral because of coronavirus. I feel so bad for her husband(also someone we went to hs with) and her daughters.

Hope your mom recovers soon. My mom is in assisted living and we haven't been able to see her for weeks.

for those of you unable to visit elderly parents...my heart goes out to you and to them.
it must be so confusing for them.

I am hoping that Dianne (Hatteras) posts today with an update.
