So we are now at 4 months of self quarantine. Still having everything delivered and have barely gone out. Tom did go for a sticker on his truck and I did go and get a haircut. They are not blow drying but I was glad to get it cleaned up. So I’m wondering what everyone’s comfort level is with getting out and about?

I’m happy to see Aruba opening up and people are starting to travel. We’re just not there yet.

    positives yesterday here in FLA.......15,299
it is the highest positive readings yet.
    scary and discouraging.

so our community had an on site testing on Monday morning from 9 - 12.
    over 180 residents were tested.
we found out that of the 180, 3 came back as positive and those 3 are/were asymptomatic.

apparently there is no contact tracing in place so we may never know.
I am concerned as I teach a few classes in the pool every week.
If any of the infected person/persons were/are in my class, I need to know and I would probably have to self quarantine.

We're doing a restaurant once a week.... outside only and mid to late afternoon. I don't want to take a chance inside a place that has less than adequate air handling.... or too many people. I go to work.... good social distancing a not a small workforce. Always masking up! Of course, Massachusetts seems to be doing it right. Still seeing huge amounts of traffic from outta state heading toward the Cape.

what really stinks they do not have to tell you.. at work there was a person who is flex has NOT worked since June 17th and due to HIPPA will not
tell us. She was the only person though too.

Andrea; the numbers are crazy. Wonder how many are "false" positive and how did they managed to get that many test results done over the weekend.
Another problem is all these new sited opening up everywhere. Now all nursing homes/ alf and etc must be tested every other week.

Once a week we get take out. Every few weeks I'll pick up a bagel while I am running errands. I do the errands I have to do-groceries, meds, household items, etc. We have done a few car parades and one show. We did get our hair done/cut. We do go for drives. I had three service people in the house-fix the central vac, carpets cleaned, dryer vent cleaned. We've had work done outside and we kept our distance from the workers. Yesterday our friend came over to pick up a bday for his son, aka, my godson. The three of us wore masks. Our friend gets tested every time he sees his doctors at UofP(he is the one who had the brain surgery in March). We are not ready for outside dining. Our friend's daughter is getting married Sept. 5 in DE. We are not sure what we are going to do. The ceremony and cocktail hour are outside, but the reception is in doors. DE is increasing in numbers and NJ has a 14 day quarantine for people coming in from DE(exempt for those cross the bridge for work). That was put in place about the date the invites were mailed. PA put the same thing in place after the invites were mailed and the bride, groom and her parents live in PA. Her sister is getting married three weeks later in DE. I don't know if either wedding will take place. We are waiting until the last minute to reply. We'd have to stay in a hotel for both weddings. We have put off traveling to see our son and to purchase furniture for the condo in Aruba.

I go to the grocery store on Sunday mornings; get takeout for dinner about once a week on my way home from work. Walgreens to pick up scrips. I did get my hair cut and colored a few weeks ago. I was very comfortable with the setup and precautions. I had my annual eye exam in June because I wanted to get that done before I went on Medicare on July 1st (yes, I'm reaching that milestone this month). I had an appointment for a dental cleaning last week but cancelled the day before. That was just beyond my comfort level. I haven't cancelled my September trip to Aruba yet, but 99.5% I'm not going. Just can't bring myself to actually pull the plug yet.

    oh please don't cancel
    I need a trip report...
Is that pretty selfish of me?
Regardless......I am holding out HOPE that you can go and hoping that by September, things will loosen and cases down considerably.
    Ya, that is Pollyanna-like.

I have an eye exam scheduled for August. It’s already been rescheduled once. I may go. The dentist has been rescheduled for October I’m still unsure about it. The receptionist told me that some of the patients have been rescheduling to a year from now.

it will be nice if you get to Aruba in September but I do understand the concern.
