    Happy Thanksgiving!

I know things will get hectic here the next few days, so I want to wish everyone who celebrates a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that this year is better than the last two years and you can gather with those you love(and a few you tolerate).

Our table will be small this year-just us and the kids. My SIL was going to come down, but since she has to go through Buffalo, she isn't coming, which I just found out for sure on FB.

we are bringing dinner to our friend Charlie who is close to being housebound.
we bring dinner weekly and just 3 weeks ago brought a turkey breast...so I will improvise a little for thanksgiving.
I am making turkey pie with no veggies, just turkey and gravy/more like a supreme sauce. Sides, mashed potatoes, squash, stuffing, broccoli and cranberry relish. Also making a cranberry nut bread and blueberry pie. Tomorrow is baking day and Wednesday is cooking day. Gosh I HATE baking and cooking, but no real choice in the matter. Paul will help.

It’s nice that Paul helps. Tom will be sitting and watching football I’m sure. I don’t mind though because I do enjoy the cooking. I was afraid it was going to be an issue finding a turkey breast this year just like last year but I was able to order one at Fresh Market. Thought Tom would have a heart attack when it rang in at $45. How are you finding prices to be in you area!

Dessert will be a cheesecake that I’ll make on Wednesday and I purchased some Mexican caramel made with goats milk to drizzle over it. Absolutely love the caramel. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that I really enjoy as it always seems relaxed and there’s nothing better than leftovers.

Happy Thanksgiving all....... and we've got a houseful planned. I plan to be the kitchen b**ch to keep busy and outta trouble. Yup, cook it all and clean up after. There will be 15 of us for dessert and 10 for dinner. Gonna spatchcock the turkey and do it on the gas grill to maintain oven space!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We also have a house full of people coming (all family). We will start cooking tomorrow. I have to brine the turkey this evening. We're having a roast turkey, smoked ham and a smoked turkey breast. We will also have smoked mashed potatoes and about a dozen other apps, sides and desserts. Oh yeah and the now traditional mimosa bar!

I want to grow my own food, but I
    can't find any bacon seeds...
