    Labor Day activities?

Hope all of you have some plans for good/fun activities.

No BBQ here in tampa bay...............too flipping hot.
Like Aruba, but no breeze. It is getting quite old. Almost every day over 92 since early May.
Our electric bill reflects much air conditioning use.
However the upside, no oil bill or natural gas bill for heat in the cooler months.

But our rainy season is letting up a bit!
    Last week 5" of rain.

Our community is having a potluck supper tomorrow.
We are bringing brownies and a cornbread casserole.

Other than that our weekend was pretty much the same as always.

Happy Labor Day to all that celebrate.

I'm not sure what we are doing. Our son's bday was Sunday but he is driving back from a vacation. We are hoping he is back today early enough and awake enough to go to dinner, if not, I will either bbq or cook or get a pizza depending on the weather.

No plans. Just home relaxing enjoying temps in the low 70s and expecting rain most of the day. I don’t mind a rainy day as we really need it. May head to the Clam Box for fried clams or a lobster roll.

I was supposed to still be on travel, so we didn't make any plans. So, it will be a nice, quiet day. Might head out to a local farm stand to pick up some fresh corn to freeze for this winter.
I want to grow my own food, but I can't find any bacon seeds...

We will be closing it sometime this week. Although temps are still in the 80's for several more weeks, with the grandson back in school it just won't get used like it should. I'm also heading back to the west coast in a couple of weeks, so I need to get it closed before I leave.

Our local supermarket has lobsters “on sale” for $8.99 a pound. They’ll steam them for free. We’re picking up 8 for the kids, grandkids and us for an early dinner. We have some fresh corn that we picked up yesterday at the farmers market and will round it out with lettuce and tomatoes from our garden. Daughter is making a potato salad and I have a blueberry pie and vanilla ice cream ready for dessert. Ah summer….we’re going to miss you!
