    Memorial Day Weekend

Here is hoping that all of your weekend plans are not rained on.

I am taking another day trip to Atlanta with a friend.......exhausting, an all day adventure.

Our community is having a Memorial Day/Remembrance ceremony at our flagpole area and a breakfast in the Clubhouse.

We are hosting a non BBQ on Monday late afternoon. Salads........tossed, potato, macaroni, tuna, chicken and and antipasto.
Expecting a bunch ..............too hot to BBQ and no shade in our backyard late in the day.

What are you fine folks doing for the holiday?

It is rainy here in NJ all weekend, but I will get to see friends. Rain or
shine, so I’m happy with that

I’m in NJ too and a real bummer that it is raining here at the Jersey shore. We will have our kids and grandkids here with us today and even in the rain I will take them to a new ice cream sandwich place that opened by us. Tomw Memorial Day is supposed to stop raining so we will go to our beach club and hit the pool with the kids! Happy Memorial Day to all!

Expect it will be a quiet one with plenty of rain. May head over for some fried clams and onion rings to go.

We have been working our way back from Florida. Stu really didn't plan enough time for the trip and we have had a few very long days on the road. Even though we were only two to three hours from home at dinner last night, i convinced him to stay in a hotel one more night just to relax and unwind. So we are headed home later this morning. It is cold and rainy and did not pack clothes for 55 degrees. We don't have a lot of plans. If it is nice I will BBQ for us as my son as picked up an extra shift at work. Because we have been away for a week, there is a lot to do including checking on work we had done where we store our cars and going to Lens Crafters-I had new glasses made a few weeks ago, but really haven't used them. During the trip, I realized something is very wrong with one lens. I hope to get over to see my godson and his sister if they are with their dad this weekend. We both have a busy week ahead, so getting caught up is priority.

Rainy, cold and just miserable here in Southwestern Connecticut. So went to office all day yesterday. Today I haven't left my house. I'm...just...cold. My cousin, Priscilla, finally made her plane reservations for August (she'll be coming down for six of the ten nights I'll be there) so I spent some time on the computer today making reservation for the Blue Melody Black Pearl sunset snorkeling cruise. I told her if we only do one "activity" while she is there, this has to be the one and she was all in (what she doesn't know is this will be my belated b'day gift to her). Uh, oh, I veered off topic. LOL!

When we got home this afternoon it was 50 and damp. It was in the 80s when we left a week ago. We were so unprepared for the cold weather-all summer clothes. I had to turn the heat on in the house. So wrong for the end of May.

we look forward to our rainy season.
hot and humid now til october.
rain most days at 3 pm

the good news is we can turn off the irrigation
the bad news is much more humidity.
what we will save $ on the water, we will pay for in higher airco.
