Cool and rainy here in Virginia too. We have taken this weekend to spend as much money as possible since we can finally feel comfortable leaving home. We have just been enjoying ourselves near home.. We got a new grill/griddle combo and hopefully tomorrow we will have good weather to break it in. Yesterday we went to a small local "gaming emporium", just a room of slots and an off track betting area, keeping it classy, LOL. Today we took it up a Notch and went to MGM at National Harbor today and I saw an 88 Fortunes machine and had to play for Peg and Andrea. It did not treat us kind. We really just left our house to go to Target but there wasn't much traffic so we decided just to go for it. We had fun for a little while and it was nice to be out of the house.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.

It poured in NJ today & very cold for end of May but we went to my cousins house for an indoor barbecue. First time since pandemic we were able to be in large family gathering. So great to hug one another again. My husband and I don’t have kids so we were alone & isolated for a year since we were very cautious. We went to Charleston last week and was so good to get away & go somewhere. It was great - people are really traveling again!

I love the 88 Fortune machines but they can get expensive. Maximum bet on a penny machine is 8.80 a spin so it’s easy to break budget!

Yes, I was wondering if it was 8.80 in Aruba too. We were playing with mostly house money at that point so it doesn't hurt as bad. I wanted to keep playing in, Jon was trying to make things last.

It is $8.80 a spin in Aruba as well. You have to really take a moment to check because not all casinos set the machines the same way. In Vegas, I played a game that was $2.50 a spin. When we were at Encore Boston Harbor, I sat down put my money in the machine and it was gone in a poof. I hadn’t noticed it was $25 a spin!! Lesson learned.
