Thanks everyone.. as I said I am going to wait until after
the holidays; want to use up all the pto, then go "flex" lol
If you resign our company gives you 60% of your PTO . Well I earned my pto
I will use "corona symptoms and do a local travel for a couple of weeks. lol
Too many unpleasant changes and I just have that "gut" feeling.

I like to go out to the west coast
But will try Carolina's, Tenn, GA, first
If I really think this is for me, (done agency and can work anywhere!!)
Work is getting stressful and I do not want to be on duty
when and if they open the doors, very sad and I am so sure my
facility is not the only one

we have new neighbors Kelly and Fred from NH.
their son is and ICU RN and burned out in a big city Boston Hospital.
he decided to go the "traveling RN " route and loves it.
over the last year he has spent upwards of 3 months in Daytona, Savannah, a rural hospital in Ohio and now is back in Daytona.
he is given a hosing allowance too and stays in places like air bnb.
we got into the conversation today about this because Kelly told me that her kid has yet to invite her to his beach rental.
I asked where he was and she ended up telling all about his "travel nursing"

My daughter's company does also offer a housing allowance, but they also have a contract with AmeriSuites where the RN pays a minimal amount per night. Brianna is spoiled though, and tends to spend a heck of a lot of money on housing - she requires a minimum of 2 BR/2 BA so she has room for visitors

Great way to see different parts of the country and meet people all around different states. First time I heard the term Traveling Nurse was during orientation at a hospital I once worked at, sounds very nice if you like traveling.

Seeing the country is awesome. You'll meet great people and make friends all over the country. Sounds like fun.

I like Brianna's style. I hope she also gets a whirlpool bath with that 2/2.
