    So; when should we stop?

    Good morning,

It's cold here in Winnipeg this morning; -31C. Please don't ask me for it in English. As I told someone else here, it's a dry cold.

I got this question from one of the Sunday morning talk shows and it is my question here. When is it a good idea, after January 1, to stop saying "Happy New Year"?

If it's the first time I see a friend or relative after Jan.1, it's okay for about a week. Any longer than that just sounds silly. And you?

Supplementary question; do I have way too much time on my hands?

-31*C = -23.8*F, so it's not as cold to us in the US Happy New Year Glenn, and yes, you have way too much time on your hands.

Agree with Walt..... way too much time on your hands! But joining us here is better 'n going outdoors when it's anything below any zero!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

In C or F it is just too cold.

Happy New Year greeting-a week or less.

I got an alert for weather at home-4-6 inches with 35 mph winds starting around 4 am, however, it was 65 today. Crazy.
