It’s going to be a challenging day for our forum friends in Florida. Stay safe all. We are saying prayers it will move through quickly.

Yes for sure - good luck to all who are affected. Hoping those in the Fort Meyers/surrounding areas have evacuated to a safe place. Fingers crossed!

It will surely be a difficult few days for all of Florida. We have both family and friends in Florida and we are so concerned for their safety and well being.

    we are prepared and terrified

our elderly friend from Belleair Beach area finally decided to allow us to pick him up late on Monday and he is here now.
    (not an animal lover/liker/tolerator)
he lives in evacuation zone A in Pinellas County.
as of now his area is OUT of the cone making him more in harms way at our house than his own.
this is one of those "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situations.
we asked him if we could all go back to his condo, we'd bring food, generator and pets.
answer was no pets are allowed at his complex..........ya, even in emergencies.
    so here we stay
generator is ready, long 100' extension cords are ready to use for our refrigerator, freezer in garage, our free standing portable air-conditioning unit in our bedroom and a fan in charlie's room. we can move the cords to plug in the coffee pot or the microwave or charge our devices.

we have been here for numerous storms, but have NEVER been as terrified as we are now.

all prayers and or positive vibes are appreciated.

to all forum members in harm's way......... Hang tight, Rule #7 and remember to keep your devices charged. there will be cell service/data even if the electricity goes out. the cell towers are the last to lose their power.

Please everyone stay as safe as possible! My in-laws live in Bonita Springs and are currently at their friends' place who have a generator. The storm surge there is expected to be devastating.

I am praying hard for you. It’s best your friend is with you anyway. I am sure it won’t be great where he lives too. Would be scary for him to lose power by himself.

You are about as prepared as anyone can be, Andrea. Better for Charlie to be with you than all alone. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers! And all our Forum friends who are in harm's way!
Stay in touch as you are able.
