    It can always be worse...right.

I woke up at 2:00 AM this morning, and the temperature was -13 degrees. Fortunately, the winds had died down, so at that time the wind chill was only -22 degrees.

Those reports from Mount Washington were beyond brutal! We hit about ten below overnight with awful winds that kept waking us up. Thankfully no power outages. Today it’s a balmy 6 degrees. The house is nice and toasty so no complaints as we have no need to leave the house.

On a side note, Tom’s sister and her husband, along with friends, came home from Aruba last night. Bad enough it was brutal cold but the guys were wearing shorts!!!! They said no issues at the airport in Aruba but once they landed at Logan, baggage pickup took an hour.

South of Boston we were at -9 degrees when I walked (short walk) the dog this morning at 6:30..... thank goodness the wind wasn't as fierce as when I walked her last night at 9:00. And.... we expecte to get back into the mid 40's tomorrow.... but not outta the teens today!

Almost the same here in NJ. It was much more brutal yesterday with the wind. It’s 18 degrees now according to my phone. Funny story - we grill steaks all year round and promised our neighbors a steak dinner tonight before we knew it was going to be this cold. Will be a bit brutal for my husband to grill out on our deck. Lol. I am just hoping the grill works in this cold!

A bit chilly here in southeastern Virginia, the temps are hovering around the freezing mark, winds 5 - 10 mph. Good news is I get to go to Jacksonville, Florida next week and San Diego the week after.

At home it is in the 20s, with a windchill in the teens. Last night the windchill was in the negative numbers. Part of our city had transformers blow and people were without power from around 9:30 pm to 12:45 am. I understand it also effected the hospital.

Western Mass was crazy cold/windy yesterday. I am not a fan of wind unless I am in Aruba, I think it is creepy at night. No complaints though our area has been so spoiled this winter (so far) and seeing as it was for 2 days cannot complain. This coming week back to mid 40/s maybe 50 and always happy when January is in rear view mirror it always feels like the longest month.

I wonder what it is like for the workers inside that bldg on top of Mt. Washington. I went there once but it was summer time cannot imagine the sounds of wind up there right now, no thank you.
