What are you doing to keep busy while at home?

I've decided to do a deep cleaning and the more I do, the more I realize it is long over due. I have moved furniture, cleaned closets and cabinets, washed windows and curtains, and found lots of trash and things to donate. I have our bedroom, bathroom, closet and sitting room done. I also did the guest room, both hallways, stairs, coat closet and downstairs bathroom. I finished a crocheted lap blanket for a Chinese Auction basket and started another one for the Veteran's home. I also drew out a pattern on a table for mosaic project, but haven't really started yet. I'm going to try to make some masks. I have a schedule of cleaning, but don't know if I'll stick to it. I m also doing some online shopping.

    you are motivated!! good girl.
we cleaned the linen closet and the master bedroom walk in closet.

we wiped down and touched up all of the baseboards and crown molding.
we Murphy oil soaped the kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities.

but, mostly it is chasing after and tending to the puppy.
we were going to have Stanley Steemer come for the annual carpet cleaning (3 bedrooms) but in light of the new arrival we will postpone cleaning.
I gotta find out if there is a company that will take away and clean the oriental and braided rugs....but again, after the pup is fully house trained.

I should be making cards.......absolutely NOT in the mood.
I only have one completed card
I have 20 Easter cards half done but they will be for Easter next year.

Okay, I'll confess. I alphabetized my spice jars tonight. Even though I'm going to work every day, I find I'm restless once I get home.

I wish I could get motivated to clean but I’m just not there yet. Maybe this week when it’s warm enough to open some windows I’ll get motivated.

The taxes are done which is huge for me. We even got the return check in the mail today. I do the treadmill for an hour each morning so I at least get some exercise. The rest of the time I seem to spend a lot of time cooking. Some days I try something new in the instant pot other days I might bake but since I haven’t been able to get flour baking is really limited. I did buy some coconut flour that I plan to experiment with.

Our yellow lab, Maddy keeps us pretty busy as well. At 7 years old she still wants a lot and I mean a lot of playtime and affection. She is also on a schedule. At 3:00 each day she’ll come looking for me with a toy in her mouth. She wants to go outside and have me shoot tennis balls to her from the K9 cannon. Then she runs around in circles until she’s exhausted and ready to go in for a cookie. She really is a joy.

I make sure the house is basically spotless when we go to bed each night. My project is tackling some outside cleanup work alongside my driveway, that side of the property has a lot of overgrown trees, vines, etc....as it separates the properties and its kinda now mans land....Its about a 100 plus feet long so I have lots of work to do. If I ever finish I will post before and after photos, lol.

My life hasn't changed with the exception of shopping. I get up, have coffee and check computer. then do an hour of aerobic videos. Once my husband is up, we go for our 3 mile walk. by 9 a.m., I have already done 12,000 steps & 5 miles. the afternoons I do reading. Rinse, repeat.

Still working from home. We try to get out and walk or take a bike ride if the weather permits. Sunday we were awakened by both smoke alarms in the house going off at oh-dark-thirty. One of our air handlers in the attic had started smoking. Found out yesterday we need a whole new inside and outside unit. It's gonna be expensive, but we got 36 years out of it so it was due. We're also in the middle of redoing one of the guest rooms. So we're definitely staying busy.

Glad you're safe and the smoke didn't make fire.... not glad you're facing a big expense...

I am glad no one was hurt. You'll probably save some energy cost with the new unit. When we had to replace the A/C in Aruba-both inside and out, it was expensive, but we are saving more than $150 a month. It'll pay for itself in 5 years.
