Tracey you and I could be hired out as "professional excessive worriers"

I have been a bit preoccupied with some pre trip preparations and tending to a bad leg.
I have tendonitis (ongoing for about 8 weeks) in the back of my knee where the calf muscle and the hamstring connect to the knee joint.
I have been unable to rest the leg due to the water exercise classes that I teach.
Those classes ended on last Saturday til Mid March so now I am in recovery mode.
Over the last few days I have tried to rest it, but the storm this week screwed up my resting plan.
I have been heating, icing, compressing, massaging and walking in the pool.

We have pulled out our bags.
We have restocked and replenished our toiletries.
This is just so weird...we haven' been anywhere since March.
We have lost our packing and organizing mojo...we are trying though.

    This is all Covid's fault.......

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

    Good morning,

We have, slowly but surely, been decorating the house for Christmas.

It starts on November 12 (We never, ever put out Christmas things before Remembrance Day, November 11. Lest We Forget) by putting away the Maui and Aruba coffee mugs, and pulling out the Spode Christmas tree mugs.

Next we bring out the Christmas cushions, a Nativity set and a Christmas clock which chimes the first few bars of a different carol on the hour.

We still have quite a bit to do but we are getting it done. The house feels cozy when it's cold outside and decorated inside.

I don't always post here but I check in and read other people's posts almost daily. It's fun, friendly and people aren't too full of themselves here, most of the time.

Good morning everyone (or good night)
With holidays approaching; my mom's first Christmas not here, (dad passed NYE 13 yrs ago)
just not in the spirit of holiday.
Thought I should brighten up someone who has nobody; I adopt two residents at the nursing home.
One male and one female in honor of my parents.
Bought 2 Snowman Christmas trees.. very cute; picked up "real pillows", a very light heavy wt blanket (helps one sleep)
warm socks, and few other stuff.
Did not want to put up a tree in my house; I have a table tree, imy parents both loved Charlie Brown and the Peanut gang; so I will do a
Peanut Charlie Brown theme. Been busy on Ebay.
Even order our Christmas eve pj's. Yes Charlie and Snoopy. And got the fur babies new snoopy and woodstock toys.
Now off to order staples at Sams Club. Free shipping too.

I got all of the decorations out of the attic before I left. Pam will decorate the house inside and out and it will be done when I get home. How's that for planning?

I've decided to go all out with decorating since it will be a much quieter holiday season than normal. A lot of people around here already have their outside lights up and on and I've even seen trees in some windows. I love coming home from work and turning everything. Will do it all over the thanksgiving weekend since I can't go to Maryland.

It's been so warm here(until yesterday) that people took advantage of the warm weather to decorate. I noticed my neighbor has put up and lit decorations in the backyard I am guessing for the grandkids and then there are some where they have a memorial for their adult son who passed away almost two years ago(blood clot went to his heart).

We're Jewish and I do decorate inside for Hanukkah because when the kids were little I wanted them to have something(we don't do a tree or wreaths, just pillows, throws, signs, candles, lots of snow globes, and other stuff). However, this year we are leaving on the 2nd day and not coming back until the end of March, so there no way I am doing anything.
