whine time

Typically Dec and Jan are cool/cold in our area. Typically 70’s during the day and 40s at night, but I will be whining in August!

3rd day in a row.....wake up to a freeze overnight.
plants are covered and it will be warmer beginning tomorrow.
this weather stinks for those that are here vacationing
and for us that cannot tolerate the cold any longer


and this whine is more like a scream and a meltdown.............4 doors down from us.
they are flying a confederate flag on MLK holiday .
normally they do not fly a flag...but yesterday they hoisted it up.

The weather should not be that cold there. Hopefully your new windows you are getting will make it better next winter, at least inside.

I would probably get banned if I made my comment about your neighbor. I will just say, there are a lot of clueless, ignorant, prejudice morons in the world. I am sorry you have to live near one. Does your HOA have anytype of regulations against something like this? I hope they don't move to the swastika next. SMH

update on the flag...
a neighbor apparently took it down and walked away with it.
I did not see it happen, but heard from another neighbor.

our HOA is a POA (property owners assoc) and has penalties but none of them are worth the paper they are written on.
per the POA the only flag we are allowed to fly must be on a flagpole, not the kind attached to the house, but an in the ground flagpole and the flags to be flown can be either the USA flag or the State of FL Flag. if one does not comply, the offender gets a letter from the office. it takes 3 letters before anything can be done and even then it is not a financial penalty.

My whine is phone calls trying to scam everyone....first off, don't judge or pick on us we still have AOL, lol....tonight my hubby tells me AOL is calling while he was on his desktop. I asked him if he called them he said no, long story short they wanted to take remote access to his desktop and help with an issue. I caught it right away the remote session he typed in was not a typical AOL or dell etc. site. I quickly hung up on them and I called aol they confirmed it was a fraud call and they would never call unless we requested a call. I am glad I was here my husband may have believed them and given them permission to gain access. can't trust anyone these days sadly.

Good catch!!! It’s crazy how many fraud attempts are going on. My credit card has been compromised three times this year!! Each time it was caught early though.

Mine was compromised right before we came to Aruba. We caught it and I called. They somehow, updated my Apple pay and another reoccurring charge automatically-how I have no idea. I got off the phone and my new card was already in Apple Pay before the new card was in the mail.
