    Global Entry Interview upon Arrival

We have our preapproval for GE and just need to schedule our interview. Nearest airport to us that offers it is 2.5 hrs away. I see that AUA offers interview on arrival. Has anyone used the service? Is it available for Saturday arrivals and can we just pop in when we arrive or do we need to schedule an appointment? I’ve tried finding these answers on the GE and AUA sites, to no avail.

When we got ours we interviewed on a layover in Miami. We had appointments, but they took us in early. Whole thing ok about 15 minute plus travel time to and from the gate. It appears to be available in Aruba. Check this link:

I contacted a forum member who is a us customs agent (no longer assigned to aruba) but I asked him to check out this thread and leave his thoughts.

    I am wondering about logistics.
How does one get to the us customs area from the arrivals area?
I would imagine an escort would be the way OR maybe a customs agent comes over and finds a location to interview.

Do you have a layover at an airport that offers it? Are you planning any road trips that goes near an airport that offers interviews?

You have to remember that processing at a pre-clearance Port of Entry is considered an “arrival”. (Backassward). That being said, upon leaving Aruba and processing through CBP, you have “arrived”. The GE interview upon arrival is not guaranteed. It is at the discretion of the duty Supervisor based on the volume of passengers and the availability of staff. If you’re leaving Aruba on a Saturday, historically the busiest day of the week, good luck. If you have time during your visit, you might want to call and see if they’d see you during a slower day of the week. Bottom line, while being “cleared” you can always ask if you can get the interview knocked out.

Thanks all! I think we will play it safe and just plan a trip to Niagara Falls border control before we depart. I do appreciate the info though!

Coming to Aruba for first trip this weekend. Ive been preapproved for Global Entry interview but its a 2 month wait to schedule locally. Wondering if anyone has done the Enrollment on Arrival interview? This is to be done on arrival in US from International flight, so since US customs are done in Aruba I assume I will be doing this in Aruba on my departure day (Saturday) back to the US in Aruba.

Anyone go thru this? Comment earlier mentioned Sat may be too busy to handle, wondering if anyone tried to go on another day during there visit? Guessing that wont work but worth asking.
