Help! Info. Needed Please on Newark Airport

Hello, we are from WI and were supposed to fly to Aruba on American through Charlotte in Oct. It looks like they've cancelled the Charlotte flights and now it looks like we have to go Milwaukee to Charlotte to Miami to Aruba if we stick with American. And have about a 13 hour travel day! Yikes!

Another option is to cancel with American and fly United from Milwaukee through Newark and then on to Aruba. We've never flown through Newark before and are wondering about that airport? Good or bad?? Also, the connection time in Newark would only be 1 hour. Is that enough? Thanks for the help!! We just want to get back to Aruba!!!!

Newark has 3 terminals. I have flown in and out many times but never transferred there. The Air train connects the terminals if you need to go from one to another. There is no cost. The airport is "not bad" . I would think with the less airline traffic these days you should be OK. It would be great if your transfer is located in the same terminal.

An hour has always been plenty for us and that's under normal air traffic flow.

You’d be in terminal C, while still a large terminal, you should be fine. Just check the airport monitors because gates can change from what’s on your boarding pass.

my biggest issue with Newark is that after driving there dozens upon dozens of times I can still easily make a wrong turn...
