situation on a SWA plane that landed in Aruba

    http://24ora.com/2017/07/27/investig...-di-southwest/

    would appreciate any updates.

the only update that i have so far is this from a friend that lives on Aruba. Just a heads up- airport closed due to bomb threat on Southwest air out of Orlando. All roads closed in the way to the airport- huge mess!

One of my island friends said he just read the article after I let him know it was there. Sounds like they are sending all flights to Curacao currently because they think there may be a bomb on board.

The plane landed at 12:30 so there will be many flights that were diverted and must be rescheduled/booked...wow, awful!

The threat came in as they were about to land. The pilot called the airport to tell them of the threat. There were a 137 people on board that were being interviewed to see who made the threat. Based on that info I am guessing it was a written threat???

I am in the car, cannot write much at this point.

The pilot saw saw a barf bag and bomb was written on it. Supposedly a joke.

    Very unfunny.

    my friend says

"OMG- some fool needs to pay for this very bad joke. From Noticiacla.com. The Pilot was in the bathroom and found a barfbag with the word "bomb"on it and called it in as a threat.
Roads are open but the airline desks might not be open. Plane was checked as was the luggage by K-9 and all appears clear. Of Cours this was during a peak time so many flights were effected. 5 flights were sent to Curacao.....3 flights delayed from take off here."

It's so awful! Not only are people inconvenienced but it's scary. Wonder what the chances are of someone being held accountable.
