It is true. We have booked seats. I found some extra legroom seats available and took them. We have an overnight stay at the Hampton Inn at FLL. Someone who took the earlier flight told me they had an issue at FLL in that the shuttles were not working. Before I booked the hotel I called the hotel directly and they confirmed that. They told me I will have to find transportation to the Hotel on my own and to get a receipt. Upon checking in and producing the receipt they will give me a cash refund and arrange transportation to the airport the following day. WE fly FLL to LGA thru Charlotte. I cannot recall anytime in the past 30 years or so that we have a connecting flight. It is one of the perks of living near NYC. Also not normal for us is that we are flying First Class. I had miles and used them The cost of First class is actually the normal coach fare. I would have happily stayed here for a few more months but DW is worried about her gardens.
