    Beer prices without a car

Yesterday we stopped in a few convenience stores along Palm Beach. I learned that beer is definitely cheaper at Super Foods, even if you take a taxi there and back. Even with the taxi ride, I figure we saved about $45 on two cases of beer. We dont cook, but we spend about $140 on drinks for the week (including nonalcohol purchases) and a few snacks. So for those who like us havent taken the step of renting a car, the trip to the grocery store is still worth it.

You're right Tracey, but remember just using the store at a resort like the surf club will save you money over the pool bar. If I remember correctly a Coors light is $6.50 at the pool bar. You can buy a six pack in the market for $21.00. Sounds like a lot but it's only $3.50 a beer. Almost half price. Of course I don't do this as a rule, but it will get you through an evening without leaving the resort with some savings.
