I agree the airport rotary is the most difficult one on the island. The only place we have visited that has a similar amount of traffic circles is Southern Switzerland, North of lake Maggiore, Italy. Some of them were 300 yards apart.
Thanks for the rules Walt. I took a trip to wine country in Long Island NY just 70 miles from my house. When I got to town to my surprise there was a round about. I was on the left and all the cars on the right stopped as well as I. There was a car in back of me honking so that was my cue to move it. Now I understand why since I was on the left. Even though I was not moving, traffic came to a stand still so I guess they follow the rules..
Aruba driving is very much like NYC driving. You have to get into that mode and then you are good to go!
Loving Aruba from NJ![]()
Haha being from Ma makes me very comfortable with the rotaries. Have to say we do get a bad rap. I am always terrified of Ct. drivers on highways- they are crazy. I don’t know if maybe they are trying to be more like a Mass driver when in Mass or what? Let’s face it every state has bad and good drivers. The worst is the ones on cell phones- mine is always in my bag while I am driving- everyone can wait til I am home.
