I am in NY also and my issue is if we can get the results back in time( dont think so ), we might just get the test in Aruba and avoid all the hassles. By the time the test is administered and you get out of the airport and reach your lodgings etc. the result should by in soon after.

My question would be , Do I need to stay in my room during that period of time during quarantine ? And how long will the lines be to take the test and /or testing process?

Per the government's guidelines, you have to quarantine in your lodging room. Could be up to 24 hours but they anticipate 6-8. I believe it states average of one hour at the airport, but I'd assume that depends on the number of people arriving. Andrea, please correct me if I'm wrong!

yes you must quarantine in your room/timeshare/condo/house.
the turnaround for testing in Aruba is less than 24 hrs.
(I have been told by someone at the ATA that it should not be more than 7 hrs)

re: the lines and time at the airport
