Britain to drop covid -19 testing for international travel end of January

I read this this morning, hopefully US will follow suit. Will common sense prevail? "Britain is set to drop all covid-19 testing for international travel for fully vaccinated travelers by the end of January according to sources reportedly close to Transport Secretary Grant Shapps. The official announcement is set to be made on January 26 which will coincide with a review of emergency Plan B measures that were introduced to contain the Omicron surge. With daily infections now plummeting, Prime Minister Boris Johnson is widely expected to roll back nearly all pandemic restrictions. Government ministers admitted that pre-departure testing was putting people off traveling because they were so scared of testing positive abroad and being barred from returning. The change was welcomed by Airlines UK as an important step towards " learning to live alongside the virus."

We were to leave for Aruba on Tuesday. We ended up cancelling for the third time. The numbers were a factor but the fear of testing positive (false positive)pre departure was worrisome. Even though we have 2 shots and a booster. This sucks.

But where is the ratio of dropping testing for fully vaccinated people only? We are all knows already that regardless of your vaccination status you may be contagious to others and easy spread the covid. Yes, fully vaccinated people are having chances to hold the covid easier with milder symptoms and bigger chances to survive. The testing should be dropped for everyone and everywhere. Should we people of the planet of Earth get use to live with this and stop dividing people. We are all children’s of God!!! Let’s get back to Normal lifestyle.
