    · The local authorities will continue to work to manage the situations that require quarantine or isolation and remain committed to the safety and well-being of all our visitors. We are hopeful the impact on travelers is minor and will continue to adapt and advise on procedures as the situation changes.

    yes the numbers are horrendous.
the upside is the hospitalizations are not increasing much.

a family of 4 that I know that are all positive, are feeling well and thought they just had allergies.
(runny noses and sneezy). all fully vexed and boosted.
they are now in isolation and are bored to tears.

Yes I am hearing the same. Symptoms are mild. However, it’s one thing if you are home or in the US (although I don’t want COVID anywhere) but it’s a whole different story traveling internationally right now. New variant is highly contagious; almost everyone is getting it. The risk of testing positive & needing to isolate prior to traveling home is extremely high. So many unknowns. It’s astonishing that more people aren’t canceling for their own well being.

The numbers are shocking, but hopefully the hospitalizations will remain low. The numbers are crazy everywhere.

They certainly are but thankfully as Andrea mentioned the hospital rates are not increasing. I hope thats the case everywhere and they can remove the restrictions.

That is the whole point: it seems with this Omicron variant, folks are not getting deathly ill, and the hospital is not overwhelmed. Yes, the numbers weren't nearly this high in the early days of Covid, but this variant is a different animal. Let's hope it is the beginning of the end of this whole mess. Stay safe everyone, and may your holiday still happen
