    First time in Aruba

When does the 72 hour clock start for the Covid test? Is it 72 hours when you land in Aruba or when you get on your connecting flight going to Aruba? Driving to St Louis to get our PCR test so we get it back timely don't want to take it again at the Aruba airport because it was 74 hours elapsed time between testing! Also any additional advice would be greatly appreciated, traveling there during Covid is nerve racking!

they do not quibble over a couple of hrs.

use the chart (the link) that Schexc posted.

when testing to leave Aruba, test 48 hrs out, not 72. results are usually less than 12 hrs.
if your flight is delayed the USA will hold fast to the 72 hr rule and if the flight is delayed that clock is ticking.

welcome to the Aruba.com community forum where we are all kind and civil.

what other advice? ask away !!!

I saw where you said walgreens does the Abbott ID, I thought that was a self test. Aruba accepts that? I was planning on doing the PCR and hoping I get it back in time. Would prefer a rapid test. Looking for the fastest way they will accept.

The Abbott ID Now test is self administered in your car with the pharmacist witnessing you swabbing your nose. It is a rapid test that is accepted by Aruba for entry. My results were in about 2 hours after taking the test. We had no issues at the airport on arrival.
