    Mask wearing

    Hi
Can someone who is in Aruba now or someone who has recently returned from Aruba tell us what you observed about the actual mask wearing policy and compliance on the island.
Do all hotel staff, resturant and bar workers, cab drivers, grocery store workers, etc wear masks in public?
    How about all the tourists?

How is the mask wearing policy enforced?

We plan to arrive in Aruba in a few days and would like to know what is actually going on there right now.

Wear a mask no matter what your status is. This ain’t over until the coughing lady sings.

Welcome to the forum, msteg! We spent all of January and February here and arrived last week for another two month stay. We haven't seen anyone in the tourist industry without a mask. This includes beach attendants as well! The same does not apply to tourists, who will wear masks when they enter a restaurant, but otherwise not so much. You didn't say whether you have been vaccinated or not. If you have, you will feel extremely safe. Please remember that the unmasked tourists have all tested negative before or upon arrival. Enjoy!

Keep in mind a negative test is only as good as the day you got it. Best to wear a mask and social distance.

We just returned from Aruba on 4/4. As stated by others here, mask wearing was pretty compliant and similar to in the US here in NJ. Walking outside, most tourists didn’t wear masks. We didn’t go into supermarkets but in any shops or restaurants masks were worn by all until seated at tables. You will feel comfortable there.

We were there for over 3 months and returned home two weeks ago. Those working in hospitality wore mask and wore them correctly. In stores that had arrows, many people ignored the arrows and some people must have failed every science and health class they had because they still don't get that you breathe through your nose and it should be covered.
