Thread: Are the beaches clean?

  1. #11
We were at the Holiday Inn Nov. 12-17. The beach was awfull. Cloudy water, sharp shells while enterting the water, mushy gross bottom, & odor. From what I understand the smell & mushy stuff is rotted sea weed. Loved the Holiday Inn but won't stay there again if the beach stays the same. Walked up to the Playa Linda and what a difference! Water was still cloudy, but smooth bottom & no odor.
    Hope this helps!

The water along Palm Beach is for the most part cloudy most of the time. It seems the sand particles become suspended in the water once the days water sports activities (boat engines churning up sand) get going. If you walk Palm Beach early morning, say 7 a.m. you can get a glimpse of the beautiful clear waters.

Below is a comparison first photo taken early a.m. and the second photo taken mid-day.
