The elusive Djucu

Most every trip I look for a Djucu nut. In 9 trips I have yet to find one. I comb the beaches and check the souvenier shops but no luck. Every time I come across an article it speaks to how popular they are in Aruba. They are supposed to be lucky, yet the few locals I've asked have never heard of them. I even had a lead once where the article said there was a vendor across from the Radisson sold them so I followed through and grabbed a taxi up to Palm Beach but came back empty handed. I'm not really obsessed but just curious now; has anyone seen one? Here's a link to what they look like

peg..i put out a FB blast to my FB Aruba friends.
i am hoping at least one of them has info!!
better yet, i am hoping that at least one of them have a whole bucket full of them and are willing to part with one or two.

Thanks Andrea. It's funny all the articles say they are popular but people haven't heard if them. Not much shows up with a goggle search. I told Tom I want it for when we go to the casino.

i got a response from Ommi , and he said they can be found along the shores.

We use DePalm for airport transport. I kind of like the bus. At least someone has heard of them though!!

Here's mine! I asked someone at the Marriott and they directed me to a jewelry store downtown, not on the main street and off the beaten path. I can't remember the name. I had to ask them at the store about it, there were none on display. It was already polished and mounted and ready for a chain. I love mine!!

I will be on the lookout and have the kids look too! This is a great idea to keep in my back pocket in case they get bored with long lazy days on the beach
