Five years was too long to wait

Hello all. My wife and I first visited Aruba 5 years ago for our 25th wedding anniversary. We will be back in a few weeks for No 30.

Our Aruba story started nearly 20 years ago with a visit to Walt Disney World. We decided to stay at the Caribbean Beach resort and our area was called 'Aruba'. We knew nothing about Aruba but we liked the name.

A few years later in a new home my wife did a stained glass window with a nautical theme with the word 'Aruba' on it. Eventually we googled the island. I can remember saying that there were beaches and casinos, We like beaches but we don't gamble.

Many years later when planning our anniversary we came back to Aruba as an idea. We found out that Tui flew there from London Gatwick so we booked a trip and stayed at the Bucuti and Tara. We had a lovely week. My camera memory card was pretty full.

Jump forward 4 years to 2019 and we decided to book again so late last year we booked KLM business class & a Tara suite before the world decided to play games. So far so good it looks like we will be back before this month is our. If you hear a Scottish accent just say 'hello Ian'. If it's not me then there's a chance that will be the name anyway as it's a common one like John.

Welcome! I hope you will post about your trip. Happy 30th Anniversary. My husband and I will be celebrating our 30th this year in December and plan on being in Aruba for it.
