Getting Global Entry interview at Aruba Airport info

Hello to our forum friends. Can someone just recap after you have you Global Entry approval online in the U.S, what is the procedure to get your appointment in Aruba to complete your Global entry interview? Should we make apt. when we arrive in Aruba at airport? Can it be done before you depart Aruba, if you have time one day? If it is done on departure, do you get to join the Global entry line? With the price of flights this late February, we would love to take advantage of Global Entry for departure to bring us some Aruba happiness. Last year, the airport wait was trully a time consuming event.

Congrats on getting Global Entry! Here's the deal...

You get your interview in Aruba in the office behind the immigration kiosks, you know where the huge line is? In the luggage pickup room, there was a line for GE. I think it may have moved, but it's still there somewhere and there should be an attendant standing there. Tell them you need your GE interview. They will usually direct you to the GE kiosks along the wall in the immigration room. Walk past the kiosks, get in line and show the agent your passport and tell them you are having your interview and they will direct you to the room. There are no reservations, it's first in first out. It is not possible to do it during your stay because you need to go through security and to do that you have to have a boarding pass for a flight that day. When I did mine, I watched a girl with a flowered suitcase (easy to spot) in the line when I started. Although there was a family of 5 in front of me, I was through the interview and on my way while she was still waiting in line for immigration. So it may take a while, but you shouldn't have to wait in that long line before your interview. If it's your first time, they will take your picture and fingerprints, ask a few questions and put you in the system and you are good to go. Your card will arrive in a week or two. So that's about it and you should get through everything with plenty of time for a pre-departure beverage at the VIP lounge or One Happy Bar.

Thanks Walt, good to know you cant do before hand. So will this save us time on this trip? They just trust you and let you bypass onto- the Global line if you tell them you have an interview? Dont have to show them anything to prove it? Thats the killer line, that Global people just keep cutting in front of people. Like the idea about One Happy Bar, great grille cheese sanwiches too. We really like that VIP lounge too with the open bar and little sandwiches and snacks to bring on plane.

I'm sorry, I should have told you both to print out your conditional approval letters and have them available for the agents.

Sean and Susan, I'm not sure how much time you will save this trip. But you won't have to stand in line waiting... they have chairs at the GE/CBP office.

It is great that they allow you to do the interview. It is so convenient here. It is especially nice for people who do not have an place to interview near them.

A person we know sent us this info about Global Entry appointment in Aruba. Hoping to verify it here in our forum.
There is a GA interview office at North entrance of Palm Beach Plaza suite 125. They opened lasy month and it only took them ten minutes with appointment. It opened about a month ago.
    Thanks Sean and Susan
