    Going back in August...couple questions

We had to reschedule our May trip for the end of August. This will be our first time back in 4-5 years, so we are looking forward to it for sure. We will be there 8-24 to 8-31 and looking for suggestions for places to stay. We are completely open to condo, villa, and even resort lodging....which leads to my question. What is your favorite place that you have stayed at and what was special about it?
As far as the Eagle Beach condos, is there one place that stands out from the others in terms of location and amenities? If we go the condo route, we would like a place with sea view and a beautiful pool that has shade options and good access to beach and palapas. If we go the villa route, we would like a pool that is private and out of view from neighboring properties....and not too far from Palm or Eagle Beach. If we choose the resort option we will probably end up at LaCabana....it's easy and we know it well. We really don't have a budget, but don't need a 7BR villa for just the two of us...lol.
Also, is Aruba having any problems with seaweed on the beaches like some of the other islands?

    TIA

No sargassum Danno!! We are in Freeport Grand Bahama and it is plentiful here. Gag.

We love Lacabana but there are lots of kids and since it is the 2 of you I would recommend a quieter resort like Manchebo.
    The place is wonderful.
If you are interested in condo, the Oceania is lovely and meets your requirements.
Robin on this forum is an owner and point you in the right direction.
Also about 200 yds back from Eagle Beach is The Pearl another lovely spot (condo) and you can reach out to member Schexc as he too has a place there.

All of thes spots are on or near Eagle Beach!
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? SIDTM

If you want a resort, I would also recommend Manchebo Beach Resort. We spent 11 days there in March and can’t wait to go back. Like Andrea said it’s a very quiet resort. Palapas are readily available any time of day and they are spaced out so you’re not on top of one another. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We had an ocean view room and within a few steps our toes were in the sand! We just loved everything about it!

Danno, also take a look at the Bucuti right next door to the Manchebo. If budget is not an issue everyone raves about the stella service and amenities at the Bucuti; the place has won awards. But like Andrea said Manchebo is a great resort as well. Good luck.

Sargassum seaweed? Thank You Andrea for the emphatic NO sargassum in Aruba, phew.
I had no idea about this problem and then I googled it.... awful, gross, smelly, bad.
Thank you God we don't see it in Aruba. I guess some Fl. beaches see it too. Sad for all who do have it.

Danno..... Wife and I have been going to Manchebo for 5 years now and will be there again in July. It's perfect for us.... very few kids, huge quiet beach with plenty of palapas and no noise from water sports! Coupla great restaurants on site too!
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the best of men!

Our recent stays have been at Manchebo which we love. Never an issue getting a palapa. Great bar on the beach, or never leave your lounge and just put the flag up for service. Their restaurants, Ike’s and Chophouse are very good. Chophouse also has a sushi bar. Quick walk to the Alhambra Casino and the marketplace. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

Bucuti is loved by many. It’s right next to the Manchebo on the same gorgeous beach. Adults only. Very, very quiet resort.

Danno, contact forum member SkiChris about Bella Ruby. Her property is a bit off the beach, but is beautiful and easily accessible and has a private pool.

Late to the game on this but LeVent and Oasis condominiums in Eagle Beach are both awesome! Beautiful pools, just across the street from the beach, plenty of units with ocean views. Good luck!
