    Hollie to Aruba!!

We fly out this Sat from Logan. 6:30am flight. This is our first trip. Staying at the Holiday Inn. Trying to learn all I can about everything. Trip reports are really helpful. We have dinner reservations for almost every night. Dreaming about dutch pancakes. Any tips or advice is very welcome!

You will love it. Let us know how Logan is. It seems like flights from Logan have been good in recent weeks. We like the Dutch Pancake House downtown but also enjoy Linda’s for pancakes if you haven’t already decided on a spot.

Welcome to the forum and I'd betcha you're really lookin' forward to your trip! My only advice would be to not overdo it...... and leave plenty of beach time. Oh yeah...... Only take half the clothes you think you'll need and you'll still have too many! As Walt says..... 'half the clothes and twice the money'

you will love the dutch pancakes.............Lindas, Dutch Pancake House and King Fred Princess Diana.
also.....bring more money than you think you'll need seriously, you might find something that you "just have to have"

don't bring "elegant clothing" the most dressed up you will be is resort wear at dinner.
men...nice shorts and collared golf shirt
women..sun dress or capris and nice top

our last trip, my husband only wore collared golf shirt 2x..at Madame Janettes and Bavaria

if you plan any kind of outdoor tours...........go early in the day before it gets too hot

safety........take the same precautions as you would at home. leave no valuables unattended or unlocked.

don't overdo as CP said. leave it for your next visit...........because you will book again.

I'll keep you posted. I'm hoping for a nice easy time getting out of there. The tunnel in and out is under construction on the weekends but cruising thru before 4am should be a breeze.

Thanks for the pancake rec, I'll write those down!!

Absolutely way too excited! I am starting the packing tonight. I am a chronic over packer so thank you for the advice! I never wear the extra things I bring on vacation so it's a teaching moment for sure. I love the quote!

I love all of this. Such great advice. Adding everything to my notes. I do have a question about supplements and medications. Can I bring my supplements in a pill organizer or would I have to bring the full bottles? Same for medications. Are there any no-no's in terms of what you are bringing. I have never traveled out of the US and I don't want to bring anything that will cause issues. (I mean outside of the traditionally banned items on airplanes)

I carry all meds in their original prescription containers in my carry on. If they were to check them they would want to see that the med was prescribed. I would also check the airline website to review prohibited items

I’ll put in a vote for Linda’s pancakes as well. I will be going there at least twice during my stay here in Arizona. I had an easy Peezy time at Logan on Sunday the 11th. My flight left at 7 AM. But I took a bus from New Hampshire so I didn’t have to deal with the tunnel issues.

I also highly recommend not bringing as many clothes as you think you will need. Most of your time will most likely be spent in a bathing suit.
