How do these guys come up with this stuff?

    Good morning,

I think we might have had a thread about Caribbean Journal a while back. We still subscribe to it but this latest (as in today) item really has me rethinking this.

Long story short (an accomplishment for me in itself), they had a list of the 19 Caribbean islands which they feel we must all visit in 2019. Guess which place is not on the list. If you guessed Aruba, you're right. Now the title of this thread should make sense.

It makes you wonder, doesn't it?

I think that they( Caribbean journal editors) think:
    a) aruba gets enough publicity
    b) they do not like aruba
    c) Both A and B

My feeling is they figure the other islands need more publicity. Aruba tourism continues to grow and they don’t need an endorsement.

The Caribbean Journal is just a tourist based journal that promotes the islands. No need to put Aruba(or the other popular islands) in such a list. This list specifically has a bunch of up and coming destinations and destinations recovering from the effects of hurricane Irma and Maria.

Also, if you want Caribbean news, it's best to follow the agencies from the islands themselves. The Caribbean Journal is mostly just tourist based promotions and paid advertisement.

Fair enough. We'll take it for what it is.

Let them keep sending tourists to other islands and we will have Aruba to ourselves!
