Sorry to hear that you lost your husband. Losing a loved one is never easy. I think of Aruba as a healing place. It’s probably the only place I’ve ever felt I could truly clear my head and relax. I also would feel very comfortable going solo. For myself, I would lean towards staying at a smaller resort where it’s quiet but you still can walk to places. Someplace like Manchebo.
sorry to read that your husband is gone.
pls accept my condolences.
Aruba is waiting and ready for your visit when you are ready!
there are numerous folks that travel to Aruba as a single.
maybe not single (unmarried) but traveling solo.
every one of these people has had a great time and has posted very positively.
welcome back kath2me.
may 2023 be a wonderful year full of health and happiness.
spend some time reading the "My Aruba Story" category.
THINK.. is it Thoughtful? Helpful? Inspirational? Necessary? Kind? sidtm
Welcome back. So sorry you lost your guy..... condolences. Lots of women travel solo to the island and I'm sure some will check in with you.

Very sorry for your loss. It’s never easy to lose your partner in life. When you are ready Aruba will welcome you with open arms. It will be easy to travel alone there. People are very friendly and will embrace you.
Kath... a lot of folks travel solo to Aruba. I'd recommend it. Your trip can have some significant healing properties. As I recall, you normally stayed at the Radisson, now Hilton. If you were looking for a more tranquil setting, there are some good options in the Eagle Beach area. Let us know what you decide.

Good evening Kath,
Before anything else, my deepest sympathy on the passing of your husband. It changes you forever. Please read on.
Kath, my name is Glenn. My dear wife Donna passed away last July. I am only now finding the shock to lessen. I was in the same position as you. I guess I still am.
Donna and I had booked a trip to Aruba, scheduled for October. After she passed away, I wondered if I should go on my own. Family, friends (including friends here on the Forum) suggested that I go, so I did.
I was in Aruba for 10 days. You can find my trip report in the My Aruba Story. In fact it maybe my TR that Andrea is referring to. It is entitled October 19-30, 2022.
I can tell you I was glad I went. I went up to the Alto Vista Chapel, lit a candle and said a prayer for Donna. I could also feel her spirit showing as that beautiful shimmer off the water in the late afternoon.
The people here on the Forum; Andrea, Walt, Peg, CP, Robin, and many others have shown me such kindness and understanding. It has been so very much appreciated.
If you wish to reach out, feel free to contact me, either here on the main part of the Forum or by sending a pm. I understand what you are going through as I am still going through it myself. I feel Donna guiding me in so many things.
Kath, ask the people you trust but most of all, ask yourself and your late husband's spirit. I think he would suggest that you go.
Kindest regards,
Glenn
Winnipeg, Canada
So sorry to hear of your loss. I'm glad you are back on the forum, and I suggest you go to Aruba solo or maybe with a friend. There are several solo travelers on the forum Ace, Bri, Lisa. Glenn and many more. I'm sure some of them will be glad to speak of their experiences.
Thank you all for your kind regards
