It's the same reason my wife wanted to know its location, she did not want the world watching her all day long ! It's been her biggest source of anxiety thus far in planning a stay at the Manchebo. lol.

I check out the Manchebo beach cam a few times a day. I know exactly where I don’t want my palapa to be. Dear God, I’d be mortified to know people could be watching! Now if I had that bikini body I had in my 20’s it might be a different story! LOL
Does anyone know if the 1st floor patio doors lock from the outside? I'm wondering if when staying ocean front , can you exit your unit through the sliding door, lock it, and walk right onto the beach. Or, do you need lock the slider from the inside, and exit through the rear main door?
Sliders lock from the inside. We didn’t find it to be an issue. You depart your room take a few steps and, if on the second floor, the stairs are right there. I would have gone that way anyhow so I could fill my Yeti with ice water before grabbing a palapa
It's most likely not within code to have an egress door lock from the outside, but if not it might be a nice feature to have.
At ABC next door the slders have a key card. I know what you are asking, its very convenient.
