Walt, I will wave to you in the crying room as we are coming in on Dec. 12. We just changed our plans. We are now there 12/12 to 3/4. Ace, we will have to meet up if you are there when we are there.

We are a little over a month out now (Oct 24-31) and I sure hope American Airlines gets their, ahem, act together before then. They have changed our flight times - not that shocked - but have not gotten us back home as of yet. Our tickets show Dayton to Charlotte to Aruba, but then Aruba to Miami to Charlotte.... and nothing back to Dayton yet. I am not super concerned YET, but if it gets towards the end of September and no flight from Charlotte back to Dayton, I will be making some phone calls!

We're flying American to Aruba in November. I've been waiting daily for the musical flights to begin. We are on a flight to Charlotte that departs Aruba at 5:43 PM. I've never seen a flight leave at that time so I'm sure we will have our return flight changed soon, probably to the 4:40 PM flight. It's just how American works I guess.

When I check on our trip, it says "Your flights have changed. Check back soon to see what has changed." which, I can clearly see what changed versus the original trip confirmation email I got. However, I have yet to receive an email telling me the flights have changed. Only when I logged onto the app or online did I see the changes. That makes me a little nervous too. Maybe I will be calling American to talk to a person sooner than later to try and get this sorted out. Our flights to Aruba are a lot later now and the ones back are a lot earlier. That makes me sad.

Well, that was a little easier than I thought! I just got off the phone with American and they told me that all flights back to Dayton only have options for an overnight somewhere. Not sure why that is, but whatever. Now, instead of Aruba to Miami to Charlotte to Dayton, we have been booked Aruba to Philly to Dayton. However, we do have to overnight in Philly. I am ok with this because a) our flight out of Aruba is now at 3:40pm instead of 10:30am and 2) we only have one airport to worry about between Aruba and Dayton instead of two. Since we will be overnighting in Philly, maybe it is time to find a cheesesteak... I wish we did not have to overnight somewhere, but if it gets us our trip to Aruba with less airports, I am not gonna complain. Not taking any of this for granted! I also booked our Black Pearl/Blue Melody snorkel trip, so that makes this a little more real! Yay!!
