    New Members ...Please introduce yourselves!

Welcome to new members...or members who have been lurkers, but not yet posters!

Give us a shout out, tell us when you will be in Aruba and where you'll be staying.

We are a judgment free zone.....we are civil and kind and love to assist others. (unlike other sites)

Our site is properly categorized and searching is easy (unlike others)

Again, we are kind and civil and this forum is heavily moderated with no drama, no name calling, no ugliness.....Snarkyness and being mean are not tolerated.

    That being said....welcome!

Ok - I am a lurker but decided to log in after reading this message. This site is much kinder than the "other" Aruba forum. I don't comment often but enjoy reading and keeping up with what is happening in Aruba especially prior to our annual visit. We arrive on July 9th for three weeks this year. Retired now so decided to extend the extra week. Maybe next year the entire month of July.

Fortunately, we have a couple of fantastic Moderators, who devote their personal time 24/7, to help keep order on the Forum. We also have a number of highly active members who love Aruba, and have nothing better to do, than to help new and existing members of the Forum.

Please introduce yourselves and become and active member. It's all good...

Good morning all. I like to read to keep up with what's happening in Aruba, but rarely post. We've been going to Aruba since 2005. We own 3 weeks at Costa Linda in September. We always book our flight with Jet Blue as soon as they post the schedule for September (usually January) and book with Tropic at the same time. We've also taken additional trips in June & July with our daughter. We start keeping up with what's happening with the restaurants as some close & new ones open - already have a tentative schedule made out. As frzummo87 mentioned, this board is more civil than the other one that closed down last year and Andrea is an excellent, active moderator.

Welcome to the posting side MajorMantle! We’re very fortunate here to have active moderators to gently guide our comments. It’s great that people are respectful of each other and more than willing to answer questions and share experiences. We haven’t been back to Aruba since pre-pandemic yet I still enjoy participating here. Hope you will enjoy it as well.

Welcome to the posting side Major!
Walt and I try to do our best with moderating..............some days it is an effort, but most days not

The board that closed down was tough, really tough and some of those postings were very snarky and mean spirited.

There is still one other one out there that gets tons of hits, is all scattered....meaning that it is not well organized and searching is a real pain, and there is no moderation at all.
Here at Aruba.com, the guidelines are clear, the moderation is consistent and we have respect for each other.

Welcome MajorMantle! I agree with all comments above! Great moderators here and people are respectful of one another. Andrea is right. The other forum has no moderator which is very much needed there!
