They floated it out on Thursday night. It was fully lit up and crawled it's way out there. I saw it around 8 just to the right of Costa Linda and by 11 it wasn't in front of Oceania yet. I did post a blurry picture of it at night.

It's an exploration platform/ship/rig-(don't really know the right term) looking for natural gas-at least that is what I was told a few years ago.

Those rigs are at rest/unemployed at the moment waiting for next assignment.
They may belong to Venezuelan companies that currently are facing hard times.

There are many theories as to why they are offshore in that particular area when they could be parked many other places.
