    Super Bowl Viewing

Reminder as of now the curfew is in effect until January 31.
All business must close by 10 pm.

That being said.....I have heard nothing yet about Super Bowl viewing at resorts.
If the curfew is extended then I do not know how Super Bowl viewings will happen except in one's hotel or condo or timeshare's room on the tv.

Here is hoping that Aruba does what is right with the curfew and keeping all safe is the first priority.

The Super Bowl is 7 February, it's mostly for the tourists anyway. I could see resorts setting up big screens on property. Kick-off will be around 7:30 in Aruba, so there's no way Tom Brady will hoist the trophy before 10PM there.

In the past, I have seen set-ups on the beach for the SB.

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

Two schools of thought on this.

First, the Dolphins aren't in it, so who is going to be watching it anyway?

    or

Some people may enjoy watching a Super Bowl without the New England Patriots (and their insufferable fans)in it.

Whoever goes to watch it in a bar when they are in Aruba; enjoy the game, respect all the local protocols and stay safe.

More importantly, whose performing in the halftime show?!!

I don't really have any skin in this game (pun intended) since I'm not a huge football fan (I save my sports viewing time for baseball and a certain team in the Bronx; yes, you Red Sox fans, THAT team).

The Weeknd is the halftime show this year. He had to come up with his own money to increase the budget because Pepsi really cut back. Should be entertaining.

When we watched in Aruba it was Madonna. We watched the Giants beat the Patriots from the Hyatt's beach. We are huge football fans and the Super Bowl on the beach is one of my favorite memories. I was wondering what Moomba would do. They have packed people in for past years at tables on the beach.

Its hard not to cheer for Brady and Gronk, but Mahommes is great too. If you didn't hear him mic'd up talking to his receiver after a miffed punt, you should check it out, he is a great young leader. This should be a good game.
The best trip is the next trip. Anxiously waiting to book something.
