The weekend is supposed to be rainy at the shore, but by Tuesday it will be nice. How about heading away from the shore for a few day-Lancaster is nice, then head to the shore once the unsettled weather is gone. Ocean City, NJ is my favorite, however; even though it is only 40 minutes from me I haven't been on the beach there in two years(been there for other things).

I just saw this article. If you son is into this, it might be fun for him.

For the Jersey shore, try Spring Lake. Lodging tends to be B&B's and quaint local hotels. Beautiful beach.

Let’s try to get back on topic.
I suggest making a thread in off topic for other vacation spots.

Good news/bad news. We had to cancel our trip but the reason is out of the blue we purchased a new house. The closing date did not give us much time to get our house ready to sell. Looking to come back in the spring.

I’ve been to Aruba 3 times this year and felt very safe. Of course, I live in Florida where Covid is currently the worst in the country. My last trip was July and the Covid cases were low. My husband going down on Monday for 10 days, so I’l let you know what he reports. We’re still planning to go in January for 3 weeks.

We were supposed to go Oct 14-28th and we are planning on cancelling... We are going to wait until Labor Day to decide but we are 90% sure we are cancelling.. Rather be safe than sorry.... God forbid we were to get it, I'd rather be home than in Aruba.

I have to say that I always felt safer in Aruba than here before we were vaccinated. At home we did not dine out because we did not have many outdoor dining options, but Aruba has soooo many. I wore my mask, used sanitizer and wiped down the cart in the stores. When I walked in the mornings, I tried to stay away from people as much as possible. We did dine out with others and hung out with other. There are several people who are there as long as we were and we kinda unofficially had our own little group. When we chatted with others, we did it at a safe distance.
