    Xanadu Casino: Help Needed

Long time readers may recognize me as the guy that is crazy enough to collect stuff from the Aruba Casinos. Unfortunately, I won't be going to Aruba any time soon, so I was hoping someone on here would be willing to help me. The Xanadu Casino seems like a bit of a disappointment, but it's still a new casino. If anyone is willing to help, I would love to get a few chips and maybe some playing cards and a slot card/players card. I will pay for all, including shipping and the cost of a bubble mailer, plus a bit extra for helping me out. If you might consider helping me and will be in Aruba in the not too distant future, please send me a pm. I have had the help of many people on the board in the past and hopefully some can vouch that I keep my word and am not up to anything other than being a collector.

    Thank you.

Hi! I have helped you before and happy to help again....BUT...while I am currently on the island I am not going inside the casino until the virus calms a bit here. If you still need assistance in a month or so let me know...happy to try and gather the items for you!

I understand and respect your concerns. I will contact you in a month or so if I am not able to get any other help.

I have a player's card I would be happy to send you free of charge. Unfortunately, the casino is terrible and I don't have any intention of returning, so I can't help you with anything else. I didn't even sit at any of the two BJ tables or one roulette table.

I know that this casino opened on November 5th last year. Does anyone know when the Excelsior closed?

Can I ask how you display your collection? Do you glue the chips and cards to boards? A friend of mine collected soapstone miniature rhinos and used to build very intricate glass display cases.

I would never add glue to any of my collectibles. It damages them. As for display, that is the tricky part. Chip collectors display their collections in all sorts of ways. Displays should be careful not to expose the chips to sunlight, uv light or fluorescent lights because they can cause fading, loss of red pigments and can darken the white center of the chips we refer to as inlays. So, I just store them in binders and take them out periodically to enjoy them. Chips, unlike coins, can be handled without damaging them. I also have extensive digital files so I can enjoy my collection and share it at any time.

I can still use some help if anyone is there or going soon. I also could use a deck of playing cards from the Liv Casino.
